Meet Dr. Allison Legere, BS, DC

About Dr. Allison

Dr. Allison Legere grew up in Sanford, Maine and pursued her academic journey at St. Joseph's College of Maine, graduating with magna cum laude honors in 2013, armed with a Bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in Chemistry. Her journey into the world of chiropractic care began in January 2017 when she was involved in a snowboarding accident that landed her in the hospital with severe back pain. Nothing seemed to help her low back pain until she decided to see a local chiropractor, where she found immediate and long-lasting relief. This experience opened her eyes to a more holistic approach to health.

Dr. Allison continued her educational journey, achieving the highest academic distinction with summa cum laude honors, as she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, located in Port Orange, Florida. During her pursuit of holistic well-being, Dr. Allison discovered the transformative power of The Wellness Way, an approach that aligns seamlessly with her belief in a comprehensive, patient-centered model of care.

Her personal quest has made her an expert in the realm of digestive wellness. As someone who struggled with IBS her entire life, she has witnessed the benefits and importance of looking at the body as a whole and working to decipher the root cause of symptoms. Her own personal journey serves as a powerful testament to the revolutionary possibilities that chiropractic care, along with The Wellness Way approach, can offer those who suffer from gastrointestinal issues.

When not in the office, you can find Dr. Allison enjoying Florida’s beaches, exploring new areas with her wife, Hannah, and their dogs, Brew and Barley, or working out at the gym. Dr. Allison is thrilled to be able to provide care to the residents of Sarasota/Bradenton and the surrounding communities.
